From its initiation, Harinavi Srijan has been organizing programmes on social welfare, awareness generation, illiteracy, rehabilitation of poor people, health care as well as protection on environment handloom. These programmes are organized with the consultation and active support of the local people, Panchayat members, M.L.A. and Government agencies. Harinavi Srijan’s approach towards village work is to develop all aspects of village life simultaneously in an interconnected manner. Srijan not only aim at economic development, but also focus on health care, education and personal transformation.

Free Primary School
Harinavi Srijan undertake programme on total literacy campaign and non-residential free primary school under the name of Srijan Shikshayatan for poor children at Haral (South). It caters to 62 students.

Adult Education
An adult education centre built at South Haral, Champahati, Baruipur Block. 12 women have become literate till now.

Games & Sports
Harinavi Srijan also organizes annual sports, where more than 100 people participate  in different sports. Currently a Gymnastic Training Centre for the students of Srijan Shikshayatan, at Haral South, Champahati is being undertaken.

Blood Donation Camp
We have arranged a blood donation camp on 17.01.11 at south haral, champahati, for a cancer patient in the same village. 30 people have donated blood with great enthusiasm.

Free Eye Check-up Camp & Health Camp & distribution of Spectacles
Harinavi Srijan organised a free Eye check-up Camp and free Health Camp (for women) at Haral Champahati in 2010. Around 175 people  received a free check-up at the Eye Check-up Camp and 90 patients turned up in the Health Camp. Primary medicines were distributed to all the attendee. Spectacles were distributed to 35 peoples.

Clothes Distribution
Harinavi Srijan also  distributes  dresses to the needy children and aged people. New clothes are being distributed 125 children and 25 old people 0n 30.09.11

Relief to poor students
Harinavi Srijan helps   bright students coming from  below poverty level families with study books, exercise books, pen, pencils, geometry box, tuition fees, school dresses, and other necessary materials at Harinavi, Chowhati, Sagardwip and Haral (South), Champahati.

Celebration of Special Days

a) Independence Day -
Harinavi Srijan organises flag hoisting ceremony on the Independence Day every year. .  Day long programme is organized by the students of Srijan Shikshayatan and other members of the Society.

b) Birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose -
We observe this particular day by Flag hoisting and remembering the famous patriot. At the end of the programme sweets is distributed among students.

c) Awareness Programme:-
Srijan also observes “World Consumer Rights Day”, and “World Health Day” by  creating awareness among the community about these particular days. Harinavi Srijan organised a seminar about Consumer Awareness on 22nd February, 2009 at Rajmahal, Harinavi,  with the support of Consumer Affairs Department, W.B. Member of Parliament, M.L.A. (Sonarpur), B.D.O. (Sonarpur), Assistant Director, Consumer Affairs graced the programme. We arranged some outdoor awareness camps on this day.
